Becoming a MidCoast Water contractor
MidCoast Water engages contractors to perform a range of services.
To be eligible to provide services under contract for MidCoast Water, an organisation must first register with web-based contractor insurance management system CIMS.
Registration with CIMS involves providing insurance and business information. Your CIMS registration number will be required to progress to MidCoast Water registration.
CIMS registration is not a guarantee of work with MidCoast Water. Following registration with CIMS contractors can progress to applying to become a MidCoast Water contractor and become registered against a specific scope of works. If accepted, contractors are then required to sign a contractor registration agreement.

It is important to note that registration as a MidCoast Water Contractor does not guarantee an organisation of being engaged to perform any work by MidCoast Water; it is a list of potential contractors that are available for our employees to select from when they require a contractor to perform a specific service.
The following documents may also be of assistance to contractors:
- Subcontractor's statement
- Guide to writing work method statements
- Work method statement template
- Daily plant inspection checklist
