Development servicing plans

MidCoast Water has prepared detailed servicing strategies for our existing water supplies and sewerage schemes.

These strategies have been prepared to ensure we met key objectives of:

  • consistently supplying high quality drinking water
  • providing sufficient infrastructure for future growth
  • providing no harm return to the water cycle

while best managing our assets and delivering consistent service.

These strategies have identified the infrastructure required to service the forecast growth, as well as predictions of timeframes for future works.

These strategies are reviewed regularly and incorporate expected populations and land use planning information.

Our planning teams are currently reviewing our water and sewer servicing policies. The devleopment servicing plans below are current at this point in time, however will be updated over the next 12 to 18 months as the team undertake a comprehensive review of the strategies for each area based on land zoning, predicted population growth, serviceability of areas and the cost of infrastructure required for servicing.

Our overall development servicing plan can be accessed below, along with the plan for the Gloucester area which MidCoast Water adopted when taking on responsibility for water and sewer services in the Gloucester Shire.
